Delete Your Account
This page explains how to delete your Degas data (developer: Misbau). Degas has no account and no login: you never sign up, and we never create a record of you on a server. Everything you log stays on your device.
Your espresso data (on your device)
Your beans (both active and archived), shots, ratings, notes, and settings live in a single database inside the app on your device. They only ever exist there; we never receive or store a copy.
From version 1.0.1 you can erase all of it from inside the app: open Settings → Delete all data, then confirm. This permanently removes every bean (active and archived), every shot, your notes, and your settings from this device. It cannot be undone, and it does not cancel a subscription.
You can also erase everything by deleting the app:
- iPhone / iPad: press and hold the Degas icon, tap Remove App, then tap Delete App. Choose Delete App, not Offload App: offloading keeps your data so it returns when you reinstall.
- Android: press and hold the Degas icon, tap Uninstall (or remove it from Settings → Apps).
Deleting the app removes the app's entire storage area, so every bean (active and archived) along with all shots, notes, and settings is permanently erased. There is nothing left behind, because there was never a copy anywhere else.
You can also delete an individual shot at any time in the app: History → tap the shot → Delete shot.
Your purchase record (if you subscribed)
If you purchased a Degas subscription, our payments partner RevenueCat holds an anonymous purchase record: an anonymous identifier, your receipt, basic device information (model, OS, and app version), and your subscription status. This record is not linked to your name or email.
To have this record deleted, email [email protected] and we will delete the customer record we hold at RevenueCat. Please also include any support correspondence you would like removed.
Cancelling the subscription itself is done in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Apple and Google retain their own billing records under their policies, which are outside our control.
A note on device backups
If you have iCloud Backup (iOS) or Google's app-data backup (Android) enabled, a copy of Degas's data may exist in your own device backup, and restoring your device later could bring it back. These backups are governed by Apple's and Google's terms, not ours. If you want to be certain no copy remains, you may also wish to remove Degas's data from your device backup using your device settings.
